Live Zoom Art Enrichment for K–2nd Grade
Explore famous artists, create artist-inspired projects, and build confidence through creativity, curiosity, compassion, and community.
Ages: Kindergarten–2nd Grade (approximately ages 5–8)
Class Size: Limited to 10 students for meaningful interaction and individual encouragement
Length: 45–60 minutes
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly
$15 per child, per class
Additional children from the same household may join for $5 per child.

Simple supplies. Big creativity. Most projects use these everyday art materials, making it easy for families to jump right into creating. Any specialty items will be announced in advance.
Drawing & Coloring
Crayons, washable markers, colored pencils, pencil, eraser, chalk (white and color), black marker (fine or broad tip)
Painting
Watercolor paint set, washable tempura paint, paintbrushes (small and medium), paper towels or rag, foil, paper plates
Paper & Surfaces
White copy paper, construction paper (white and assorted colors), cardstock (white preferred), sketchbook or drawing pad (optional)
Cutting & Gluing
Child safe scissors, glue stick, white school glue (Elmer’s)
Additional Supplies
Cotton balls, q-tips, toothpicks, tissue paper (assorted colors), cupcake liners, yarn or string scraps, fabric scraps, recycled materials (cardboard, paper tubes, straws etc}

HeArt Class is designed to be an interactive experience rather than a passive video lesson. To help create a safe and welcoming learning environment, students are asked to begin class with their cameras on and remain generally visible throughout class whenever possible. Being able to see one another helps children build community, share their artwork, participate in discussion, and ensures that all participants are registered students.
We also understand that children learn and engage in different ways. Some children focus best while sitting at a table, while others learn best when standing, stretching, pacing, or working just outside the camera’s view. Movement is welcome, and children are not expected to remain seated or directly in front of the camera for the entire class.
Parents should not worry if their child needs to move around, work from another spot in the room, or briefly step away. Our goal is participation, creativity, and confidence—not perfect Zoom behavior.
Parents are encouraged to remain nearby for younger children and to support engagement when needed. HeArt Class is an enrichment program and is not intended to function as childcare.
